Effective fall 2017, UE 库 implemented several new information and research platforms. Alma/Primo (branded as 追求) is the software providing Discovery, 目录, and Library System services. TIPASA (branded as QUILL) was also installed as the 馆际互借 portal.

集合

书

The 库' collection of books is housed on the 3rd and 4th floors. Items are organized using the Library of Congress classification system whereby the first letter in a book’s call number indicates its broad subject area. Items with call numbers beginning with:

• A-H are located on the 3rd floor of the Bower-Suhrheinrich Library
• J-P are located on the 4th floor of the Bower-Suhrheinrich Library
• Q-Z + Oversized volumes from all classes are located on the 4th floor of the Clifford Library

追求 is used to locate any material in the 库’ collections.

视频、dvd和cd

The 库' collection of DVDs and CDs are housed on the 2nd floor. Bring desired material to the 信息 Desk and staff will retrieve corresponding discs. Group study rooms are available on the 2nd floor for viewing media materials.

设施

The Clifford Memorial Library opened in 1957 providing 28,000 assignable square feet. The Bower-Suhrheinrich Library opened in 1986 providing 56,000 assignable square feet and was renovated in 2015.

大学图书馆 is an academic support unit of the University of Evansville. It is composed of the Library and the 大学档案馆.

大学图书馆 assumes a prominent collaborative role in the pursuit of academic excellence at the University of Evansville. Its contribution to this pursuit is reflected not only in the provision of information resources and services which underwrite the University's instructional programs, 研究努力, 以及社区服务, but also in its participation in the academic planning process and a commitment to serve in a leadership role among its peers.

The primary mission of 大学图书馆 is to assure access to the body of recorded knowledge and information required to support the instructional programs for the University, to afford interpretation of and instruction in the effective utilization of information sources, and to provide the physical resources required for access and use. Support of faculty 研究努力 and the information needs of the public at large which are peripheral to the curriculum assume a subsidiary position within the 库' mission. This statement of mission correlates with the University's mission and goals in which the advancement of learning and scholarship within the liberal arts and sciences is the principal theme.
